Grand Teton National Park family trip

My Mother arrived from Moscow, Russia to stay with us for almost 2 months, we love to have fun with her and take her out to local places of interest and the surrounding outdoors. Our initial idea was  to go to Yellowstone, but it was not easy to find a hotel on our dates, so I decided to book a cabin at Grand Teton National Park. We didn't regret it even for a second. Our trip was truly AMAZING! I haven't seen so many wonderful things at one place: mountains, lakes, forests, bisons, elks, rivers, you name it.

On our way to Grand Teton we stopped at Jackson,WY (where the famous ski resort Jackson Hole is located). What a cute little town! Several good restaurants, small boutiques, and it has truly Wild West Spirit. Cowboy hat and boots are a must here. We plan to come back in winter and maybe even spend Christmas there.

So I rented a small rustic cabin at Colter Bay in the woods, in a walking distance from the Jackson Lake. We took many walks despite the rain in the evening and a boat trip next morning from the bay. I can't describe how peaceful it feels there, so quiet and relaxing.

Next day we were driving around and went to Jackson Lake Lodge for lunch. What a beautiful view opens up from the terrace. I simply couldn't stop looking at the mountains. We wanted to visit Jenny Lake and Discovery Center, but girls were exhausted and fell asleep in the car, so we decided to head back home. I surely want to come back again, maybe in fall to see all the pretty colors.
